About Jonco IT & Security Ltd

Jonco IT & Security provides numerous IT and cyber security services to customers in various industries. We have experience of platforms such as Microsoft 365 and AWS, plus on-premises systems running on Windows Server and Linux. We also undertake some development work.

We were founded in 2025 by Jonathan Haddock, who has provided IT & cyber security consultancy services as a sole trader (freelancer) since 2018.

About Jonathan

Jonathan has over 25 years of experience working in IT, specialising in security for the past ten years. He holds the prestigious ISC2 CISSP certification, is a Chartered IT Professional, and has an MSc in Professional Computing focusing on security. With experience spanning Windows from NT4 onwards, Linux, and cloud environments (Microsoft 365 & Azure, AWS, Google Workspace), Jonathan has a broad understanding of the IT landscape. This allows him to design, support, and secure the systems your business relies on.

Jonathan is also a developer (PHP, Android SDK, Java, and various scripting languages) and is comfortable discussing security requirements at all stages of the software development lifecycle. In the past he has also worked on network infrastructure, including switches (HP, Cisco) and firewalls (Fortinet, WatchGuard).

With a passion for learning, Jonathan self-taught his MSc. He’s also trained in vulnerability assessment, incident management, and penetration testing.

For Jonathan's MSc dissertation he produced a proof of concept solution to allow administrators to remotely monitor systems and fix problems while out and about.
